Working Title:Slam, Riff, Wasted, Megaphone, Drench, ETC., Amp.
Favourite:
Amp.
Target audience – demographic (gender, age etc):
16 – 24 year olds. Any gender. C2, D + E.
Target audience – psychographic:
Individualists and Aspirers. Would mostly be the ‘Alternative’ group of people, i.e.:
Scene Kids (http://www.uktribes.com/?p=tribe&id=10)
Moshers (http://www.uktribes.com/?p=tribe&id=12)
Skaters (http://www.uktribes.com/?p=tribe&id=11)
and Indie Kids (http://www.uktribes.com/?p=tribe&id=8)

Here is a video from UkTribes based on Indie Kids.
I chose these as they are the groups that I would mostly relate myself and my friends to. The music I'll be containing in my magazine is listened to by these types of people the most.
My magazine will be published weekly instead of monthly. This is best for a music magazine as the charts change often and a lot of new music can be released within a week, so a month would be too out of date.
Content:
Album reviews, interviews, posters, gig reviews, fan page (like fan photographs/letters etc), music charts – rock, drum and bass, indie etc.
StyleI want to use cool colours like, blues, purples, greens etc. and also some deep colours like red. Most Magazines that are similar to mine (i.e.: Kerrang! And RockSound) have a messy and unorganised look. I like this but I prefer the look of covers such as Blender and Billboard. As I like both I’m going to combine the two design concepts, i.e.: Messy off-centre pictures and fonts, but a plain background that is a cool colour and the main image might be just one person in the centre.
USP or position in the market:
Parrot publishing – similar to Kerrang! Billboard, Blender. It will be a mix between these three, as I like the styles of all of them. I think this will make it unique to others, even if it doesn't seem very different.
